About Us
Realizing the industrial and economic potentials of wasted natural material from woodworking and wood processing industries in Indonesia, mainly Bali, and the fact that other companies often overlooked this potential resource, a group of young creative visionaries seeks to develop those resources into an industry alternative, an industry representing concerns toward the condition of our natural resources. The tropical forests which are constantly abused to meet the needs of wood industry all over the world meanwhile nearly 70% of those resources turned into waste through industrial processes. This is why Tropis, an environmentally conscious company, strives to minimize raw material waste by primarily using woods salvaged from production lines. Among types of woods, we Ebony wood is known for both beautiful and rare. In fact, the best Ebony are grown in one part of the world, Sulawesi (Celebes).
Tropis is an embodiment of those concern and idealism. We salvage the waste materials and develop them into functional objects of high value, emphasizing on quality and originality by combining the skills of its specialized designers and Bali's best craftsmanship. These are our motivation and also seen as opportunity to give something back to our society and especially to Bali where we are located.
Company Profile
Tropis is manufacturing wooden products using indigenous beauties such as Ebony of Sulawesi, Rosewood of Thailand among other type of tropical hardwoods. Ebony has long known been both rare and beautiful. And the best Ebony population are grown in Sulawesi. This fact sends a message of exclusivity. The majority of materials used are waste-wood salvaged from other woodworking company. It is our way to contribute to our precious environment.
In order to recycle salvaged material, which arrived in a myriad of sizes and shapes, Tropis attempt to confer new value by applying said material into original designs which suitably incorporate the multitude of materials.

Along the line, Tropis combine the precious woods with other elegant materials such as silver and leather also other indigenous materials such as pandan, cinnamon, bone, etc..
Tropis' products are handcrafts in the forms of interior and exterior accessories. We cater to various interior areas such as; dining room, living room, lounge room, bedroom, bathroom and private home office. For exterior area, Tropis provide a variety of garden accessories.
Aside from formerly said products, Tropis develops a collection of certain lifestyle accessory sets such as Wine and Cigar Collection.
Tropis brings forth an idealism of simplicity and elegance
embedded in functional products without lack of brevity in incorporating
culturally derived motifs in the designs.
